A model of big success being very popular thanks to its:

• flexibility: the possibility to laminate with solvent, water based adhesives and thermal film with a different conception for drying, rendering the machine extremely compact. The difference consists in using a unique heated cylinder of big size (650 mm.) performing either as drying (equipped with some blowers in suitable points) or for laminating calender. The reduction of drying tunnel makes the machine completely with less overall dimension.
• extraordinary productivity: thanks to exceptional coating uniformity with less adhesive consumption.

Thermal lamination is a much appreciated and popular alternative with jobbing film laminating companies for its several advantages, among which we mention

PAPERPLAST/DRY 40, the entry level, suitable for small sizes, for small/medium runs, 40 m/min., usable working widths of 52 and 76 cms

PAPERPLAST/DRY 50, easy to use, for small/medium runs, 50 m/min., usable working widths of 52 and 76 cms

PAPERPLAST/DRY 70, professional, for medium/high runs, speed 70 m/min., working width 102 cm;

PAPERPLAST/DRY 80, for high runs, speed 80 m/min., usable working widths 76, 102, 112 e 122 cm. As an option, it can emboss in line or laminates recto/verso with the addition of a second complete calander unit;

PAPERPLAST/DRY 100, top speed, top of the range: 100 m/min. suitable to high runs, usable working widths of 76, 102. 112 and 122 cms. Upon request, it can laminate the two sides with the suitable accessory.

Our thermal laminators are equipped with a special heating system and relative temperature control on the laminating calender, assuring the right heating at any speed for a perfect bonding of the film to the paper.

Machines for solventless adhesive
The film laminating machine model PAPERPLAST/SF uses a polyurethane one component adhesive without any solvent, which has to be preheated before use in order to reduce the viscosity, applied with a suitable coating system consisting of a series of heated rollers and of a sleeve determining the coating size. It is a viable alternative to traditional adhesives, from the ecological, productive and, above all, economical point of view:

• although solventless adhesive has a higher price, thanks to the drastic reduction of the coating weight, a much lower production cost is achieved. In fact, an average of 3 grs/sqms. is enough to guarantee a good result;
• high production speed;
• no drying, therefore without tunnel, reducing energy consumption;
• wide flexibility of applications: besides standard polypropylene, it is possible to use metallized polypropylene, cellulose acetate and eventually polyester too

An efficient automatic glue feeding system reduces the cleaning time. The despray removal from the paper is guaranteed by a brushing system with suction for the surface spray and, on request, a special calender eliminates the spray already incorporated in the ink (optional).
Upon request, the laminating calender can be prepared so that thermal film can also be processed, so two technologies in the same machine.
Paperplast can also supply the coating group alone to be attached to traditional existing machines, eventually manufactured by other suppliers. This will allow the use of the solventless technology together with the original technology of that machine.
All laminating machines for cut sheets of paper and board and particularly the solventless type (for its advantages in production costs) can be converted, on request, for reel-to-reel operation.
